Prepared Acceptance (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates preparedacceptance.com (the “Site”). This policy explains what information we collect through the Site and how we use it.

This policy covers the website only. It is separate from the HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices you receive as a therapy client, which governs how we handle your protected health information in the clinical relationship. If you haven’t received a copy of that notice, ask us for one directly.

Information We Collect

Information you give us directly:

  • When you call, text, or email us, we receive whatever contact information and message content you send.
  • When you book a class or event through our online scheduler (Amelia), we collect your name, email, phone number, and appointment details.
  • When you book a therapy consultation through our scheduling widget (PracticeQ/IntakeQ), that information is submitted directly to PracticeQ, not stored on this website — see “Third-Party Services” below.
  • When you purchase a course or product, WooCommerce (our e-commerce system) collects your name, billing address, email, and order details. Payment card information is processed directly by our payment provider and is not stored on this site.
  • When you enroll in an online course, LearnPress (our course platform) creates an account with your name, email, and course progress.

Information collected automatically:

  • Standard technical information (IP address, browser type, pages visited) via our hosting provider’s server logs.
  • Cookies used for shopping cart functionality, course login sessions, and basic site performance — see “Cookies” below.

How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

  • Respond to inquiries and schedule appointments or classes
  • Process orders and provide access to purchased courses
  • Maintain your course account and track your progress
  • Send appointment/booking confirmations and related updates
  • Maintain and improve the Site

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-Party Services

The Site uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

  • PracticeQ/IntakeQ — our scheduling and EHR platform. Information entered in the booking widget on our Book page goes directly to PracticeQ’s systems, governed by PracticeQ’s privacy policy.
  • Amelia — powers scheduling for classes and events; booking data is stored in our WordPress database.
  • WooCommerce — powers our online store and course purchases.
  • LearnPress — powers our online course platform.
  • Google Fonts — we load typefaces from Google’s servers, which may receive your IP address when a page loads. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • Stripe/PayPal — processes payment card information directly; we do not receive or store full card numbers.

Cookies

The Site uses cookies for shopping cart functionality, keeping you logged into your course account, and basic caching/performance. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features (like the shopping cart) may not work correctly without them.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information collected through the Site, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If you have concerns about sharing sensitive information, please contact us directly by phone, text, or email rather than including it in any online form.

Your Rights

You can contact us at any time to ask what information we have on file for you, request corrections, or request deletion of information we hold directly (note: this does not apply to information held by third-party services like PracticeQ, which you’d need to request from them directly, or to information we’re required to retain for legal, tax, or clinical recordkeeping purposes).

Children’s Privacy

This Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
